PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance emulsification efficiency by disposing in a first passage in which a liquid jet flow is conducted a structure for diverting liquid to a flow direction controlled along a new passage, and in this case determining the direction so as to generate shearing force and caitation in the first passage and the new passage. SOLUTION: Raw materials for a product, i.e., water, oil and an emulsifying agent are fed to a premixing system 16 from supply sources 110, 112, 114, respectively, and after being premixed, are supplied to a supply tank 118. A mixture is fed from the supply tank 118 to a coil 132 via a supply pump 124 and a high pressure pump 128, and pressure fluctuation caused by operation of the high pressure pump 128 is absorbed by expansion and contraction of a tube in the coil 132 before being fed to an emulsification cell 140. In order to apply shearing force, impact force and force of cavitation to a matter to be treated, a refrigerant from a cooling system 156 is made to flow in a direction opposite to flow direction of the matter to be treated so as to make emulsification and the matter is quickly cooled and a product thus obtained is recovered in the tank 146. |
