PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manage a large amount of hierarchically configured information. SOLUTION: A virtual copy of one hierarchy constituted of a file and a directory item is prepared by adding a new link to a route of hierarchy so that the hierarchy can be shared by plural versions of a code. Then, as long as the hierarchy is not already unshared, the hierarchy is made unshared by copying the hierarchy until the master or the route. A revised edition history 14 is updated so that one item of the hierarchy can be made unshared, and the unsharing can be reflected. After the hierarchy is made unshared, various items of the hierarchy can be corrected, and each correction of the item can be reflected on the revised edition history 14 of the item.
