FIELD: chemical technology, more particularly isolation of n-butyric aldehyde in oxosynthesis process. SUBSTANCE: propylene hydroformylation products containing n-butyric aldehyde, isobutyric aldehyde, paraffinic hydrocarbons, water butyl formates, butyl alcohols, saturated and unsaturated butyl ethers, butyric acids, formic acid and aliphatic C<SB>7</SB> ketones (impurities) on two columns in the presence of separating agent. The latter includes acetals of aliphatic aldehydes and alcohols or mixtures thereof with unsaturated aldehydes having concentration of not higher than 50 wt % and boiling temperature by 90-180 C above boiling temperature of n-butyric aldehyde. Isobutyric aldehyde, paraffinic hydrocarbons, water containing some amount of n-butyric aldehyde are isolated on top of first column. Said mixture is hydrogenated to obtain butyl alcohols. Desired n-butyric aldehyde having 99.0-99.7 wt % purity is isolated on top of second column, and solution of "impurities" in separating agent is isolated on bottom of second column.
