<p>The invention concerns an installation for transferring handicapped persons in wheelchairs from a landing stage from boats or inversely, edge to edge, in safety conditions in conformity with current legislation. It consists of a platform (12) fixed to a device with a web system (16) maintaining it in a horizontal position and guide tubes (131a, 131b), sliding in the sheaths (132a, 132b), the whole assembly forming a kind of rigging. The sheaths are fixed by an articulation (such as a detachable hinge (134)) to the gangway (11), and are maintained in a vertical position by a rear rigging (142a, 142b). The platform (12) stays in a perfectly horizontal position even when the landing plane is not horizontal. A number of lifting or lowering means can be used in conditions of maximum security to operate the installation.</p> |
