A lamp for illuminating escape signs in emergency operation has the light distribution formed out of a number of LEDs with bundled light radiation, whose radiation directions are aligned so that their light distribution... to overlap and/or cut across each other in such a way that a specified light intensity distribution is simulated closely on a surface to be illuminated. The LEDs are assembled together in groups of differently colored diodes of the same light distribution and same light radiation direction. Their mixing yields a spectrally sufficient equally distributed light, in order to recognize safety colors. The light mixing of the LEDs yields white light.
