A slab (2) is made from concrete (6) containing synthetic fibers (7), a lower reinforcing layer (3, 4) and a central section with tubular cavities (5) running the whole length of the slab and having a diameter equivalent to half its thickness. The fibers have an average length of 5 - 20 mm and a diameter of 15 - 100 mcm, and are applied at 0.5 - 2 kg/m<3> of concrete. The lengthwise steel rods of the lower reinforcing layer project about 5 cm from the ends of the slab, the sides of which have recesses (8, 10) for mortar joints. |
