PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize number of processing functions at an input terminal required to generate a program output in the switcher having lots of input terminals. SOLUTION: An input matrix 12 receives data from pluralities of data sources 11 and combines selected data sources with pluralities of output terminals in response to a tarry output signal. Number of processors 14 is the same as number of the output terminals of the input matrix and receive data from data sources requiring processing to produce processed data. A switcher circuit 16 receives the processed data from the processors and receives directly data not requiring processing from the input matrix to produce a program output and also generate a tarry output denoting the selected data sources. A resource manager 18 assigns the processor to corresponding output terminals of the input matrix when the data sources require processing. |
