PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a window pane through the operation of a control means when electric leakage has occurred as the result of wetting of the circuit of a power window device. SOLUTION: In the event of leakage caused by inundation at the (a), (b) points of a drive circuit 20 including a lowering switch 28, a raising switch 29, and the like, the lowering switch 28 is turned on. With this operation, an electronic door control unit (door ECU) 12 turns a transistor TR 4 on and puts a transistor TR 3 into a conducting state. With the lowering switch 28 turned on, battery power B is applied to both of the terminals of a relay coil 23 via a pair of diodes D1, D2 to establish the same potential at the terminals. As a result, only a first relay circuit 22 is operated because of the leakage at the (b) point, a relay contact 25 is turned on (a state under which a movable contact 25c is connected to a power-supply-side fixed contact 25b), a drive motor M is rotated in the normal direction, and a window pane is lowered. |
