Wheel cylinder brake housing with continuous piston hole

When extruded close to its final state, the wheel cylinder housing (1) is produced as a series of housings to be divided subsequently into singles. The confining wall (5) round the continuous hole through the housing forms the piston running surface and is finely machined after extrusion e.g. by grinding, and one of the housing end sectors (3) is grooved along the housing casing surface in the direction of the piston hole (2). A rectangular flange profile (9) is molded round the housing on its bearer sheet.
