PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a charge controlling agent advantageous for safeness, to obtain good rising property of electrification, and to permit a developer of a small particle size without causing splashing of a toner, image fog, etc., by incorporating each specified toner particles containing a coloring agent, iron complex dye and binder resin, and silica particles and inorg. oxide. SOLUTION: This developer contains toner particles having <10 μm 50% volume average particle size and containing a coloring agent, iron complex dye and binder resin, and silica particles having 20 nm to 2 μm primary average particle size subjected to conductivity treatment, and an inorg. oxide having 5 to 20 nm primary particle size and subjected to hydrophobic treatment. By externally adding both of the hydrophobic inorg. oxide having 5 to 20 nm primary particle size and the silica particles having 20 nm to 2 μm primary particle size subjected to conductivity treatment to the developer, good electrification property is obtd. and excellent resolution is obtd., while splashing of the toner can be prevented. |
