Disclosed are shampoo compositions comprising: (a) an effective amount of an optical brightener; (b) an anionic detersive surfactant; (c) an amphoteric detersive surfactant; (d) a nonionic detersive surfactant; and (e) a carrier; wherein the composition has a pH of no higher than about 7.
