The filter is a cylinder of filament grids on a grid carrier with reinforcement and mounting collars which are easily removable for replacement of worn parts. The filter assembly, for paper suspension materials, has a structure of filament grids (1,2) in a detachable fitting at a grid carrier (11). The grid carrier (11) is cylindrical, which rotates the grid (10) and forms a part of the reinforcement ring (14) which is concentric to at least some of the grid filaments (2) on one side and, on the other side, gives the linking grid (15) between the rings (14) along the line of the cylinder. The two circular end collars (16), at the ends of the grid carrier (11), are fixed to the body of the filter in release mountings. The filament grid assembly is attached to the end collars (16) of the grid carrier (11) together with a detachable collar (12) against the upper edge of the filament grids (1,2), with recesses for mounting pins soldered to the upper edge. The reinforcement collars (14) for the grid carrier match one filament grid (2) and is in contact with two of the grid (10). The filament grids (2) are butted and soldered through a ferrous plate along the line of the assembly.
