The forward end of the drive shaft(30) is connected to the rear end of a first dipping synchronizing joint(24), and the rear end of the shaft is connected to the forward end of a second sychronizing joint(40).The respective forward and rear ends of the joints are connected to drive components(18,50). The first and/or the second synchronizing joint has a spring connected to it to load the forward and rear ends of the joints into a predetermined axial position in relation to each other. At least one of the joints has a hydraulic damper to damp out axial movements of the joint ends in relation to one another.
