<p>Described is a pharmaceutical preparation for use in peritoneal dialysis, in particular continuous ambulant peritoneal dialysis (CAPD). Also described is the use of a starch ester to prepare such a pharmaceutical preparation. Particularly suitable starch esters are acetyl starch with a mean molecular weight of 100,000 to 200,000 Daltons and a molar substitution ratio of 0.3 to 0.5. There is further described the use of starch ester, wherein starch is substituted by the acyl groups of carboxylic acids with 2 - 6 carbons, for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for use in peritoneal dialysis.</p> |
