FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. Line for synthesis of imidazole consists of a module of preparing ammonium-formalin solution and a module of synthesis of imidazole that are installed in a path of technological process and connected by transport facilities. Line is fitted with a equipment for distillation off an ammonium-alkaline distillate from reaction mixture placed after module of imidazole synthesis and module of vacuum distillation placed at the end of line. Module of synthesis of imidazole is connected with an equipment for ammonium-alkaline distillate by pipeline and facilities for transport of vat residue with module of vacuum distillation. EFFECT: improved quality and increased yield of the end product.
