<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably use the subject joint for connection in underground embedding piping based on a driving work method and prevent the leakage or penetration of tube internal fluid such as gas after piping work by burying a terminal plug in an extension part extended from the outer circumferential face of a socket to a tilting part and connecting one end of an electric heating wire to the terminal plug. SOLUTION: Both end parts of an electric heating wire 2 are connected to a pair of terminal plugs 3a, 3b embedded in the outside wall of a socket 13. One terminal plug 3a is embedded in the outside wall in the opening end part, in which no electric heating wire is buried, of the socket 13, while the other terminal plug 3b is embedded in a rectangular extension part 120 protruded from the outer circumferential face of the socket 13 to a tilting part 12. Therefore, in connection between connected pipes P1, P2, the electric heating wire 2 is excited so as to be heated after one end part, of the connected pipe P1 is butt-welded to a short pipe part 11 while one end part of the connected pipe P2 is inserted into the socket, and consequently, the inner circumferential face of the socket 13 and the end part outer circumferential face of the connected pipe P2 are melted at the same time so as to be fused and connected together.</p> |
