PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a golf ball of stable quality by eliminating remarkable variations in the hardness and weight even in the massive production of a solid center using a mold ensuring higher yields, in addition to improvements in flying range and controllability as thread rolled golf ball. SOLUTION: In this thread rolled golf ball, a thread rolled core comprises a solid center and a thread rubber layer having a thread rubber rolled on the solid center and is covered with a cover. The solid center is mainly composed of a thermoplastic polyester elastomer with an outer diameter of 31-34 mm. The degree of deformation under a load of 50 kg is 1.8-4.5 mm and the bouncing height in dropping from the height of 120 cm is 95-105 cm while the cover has a specific weight of 1.05-1.4 and a thickness of 1.5-3 mm.
