PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To tighten upper and lower cases without requiring any assembling space. SOLUTION: A highly rigid tightening member 1 having a main body part 5 being stretched over functional members, e.g. a record writing member or paper feed member, is secured, at the opposite ends thereof, to the opposite sides of a lower case 10 and fixing parts 25, 25 provided at the inner edge of the opening 22 in an upper case 20 are coupled with securing parts 8, 8 provided at the main body part 5 of the tightening member 1 thus coupling the upper and lower cases while reducing the size of the printer body as much as possible and enhancing the rigidity. |
