PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system to discriminate whether a recording medium like a game cartridge, CD-ROM, etc., is used only by own game machine or by other game machine and to change an execution processing of a game program stored in the recording medium based on a discrimination result. SOLUTION: The information processing system is constituted of the recording medium 2 provided with a first recording area 21 and a second recording area 22 and an information processor 1 provided with a recording medium to reproduce data recorded in the first recording area 21 of the recording medium 2 or to execute the program stored in the first recording area 21 of the recording medium 2 and to simultaneously record its intrinsic information in the second recording area 22 of the recording medium 2. In this case, the intrinsic information to be recorded from the recording means is compared with the intrinsic information in the second recording area and a reproducing operation of data of the recording medium 2 or an executing operation of the program of the recording medium is changed according to a comparison result by a main CPU 101 of the information processor 1. |
