The clamp (10) is fitted in a box-shaped housing with an upper cover (14). The clamp rests on the cover in spring contact with at least one contact arm (24,26). The clamp acts upon an electrical conductor (22) fed between it and the cover. The connecting clamp can have two contact arms (24,26) which force the inserted conductor against the cover.
