<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily lay and store cords and to enhance appearance when they are stored. SOLUTION: A rack 8 is placed horizontally at the front of the back plate 5 of a desk 1. A movable plate 9 is provided in such a way as to swing freely so that it takes an upright position relative to the front end 8a of the rack 8 or a horizontal position where it continues with the rack 8 horizontally. At the upright position, the swinging end 9a of the movable plate 9 is placed in proximity to a bottom surface related to the top 2 of a desk 1, and eliminates an upward-open space. Further, a receptacle box 11 hidden beneath the back of the movable plate 9 because of the upright position of the movable plate 9 is provided above the rack 8 and either at the front of the back plate 5 or at the back of the movable plate 9. The swing of the vertical plate 9 to the horizontal position thus makes it easier to lay and store cords and to insert a receptacle into the receptacle box 11. The swing of the movable plate 9 to the upright position hides any extra cords and the receptacle box 11 from the front of the desk 1 to enhance appearance and to decrease the amount of dust entering the box.</p> |
