The invention relates to a hard disk storage device with a drive mechanism, consisting essentially of a stator and a driveable rotor (7). According to the invention, the hard disk storage device is equipped with at least one data carrier. The stator and rotor are enclosed in relation to the environment. Air is exchanged in the clean room of the hard disk storage device without ventilation to the outside, said clean room being closed in itself. The invention also provides that the bearings (3, 4) are enclosed and are located beyond the current of air to prevent particles from said bearings from being introduced into the clean room. |
