ACCUMULATOR FUEL INJECTION DEVICE

An accumulator fuel injection device (3), in which high pressure fuel fed from a fuel feed pump (9) is pressure fed to an accumulator (11) through a high pressure passage (17) to be accumulated. In the high pressure passage (17), a solenoid control valve (25) is opened or closed in response to a control signal from a control device (39) to control the amount of fuel pressure fed to the accumulator (11). Since the amount of the fuel is controlled by opening or closing the solenoid control valve (25), the fuel feed pump has such a high freedom in operating conditions as to enable operation in the most efficient operating condition, thus achieving reduction in electric power consumption and improving reliability.
