<p>A refuse collection vehicle (1) has a lifting-and-tilting or tilting apparatus arranged at the rear and at least one step (7) which can be moved out of a position of rest into the position of use. The step (7) triggers at least one contact switch (11) which interacts electrically, via a control unit (17), with reference contact switches (18, 19). As a result, firstly the moving-out of the step (7) is permitted or prevented as a function of the raised position of the lifting-and-tilting or tilting apparatus, and secondly the lifting-and-tilting or tilting apparatus is locked when the step (17) is moved out. The step (7) can be arranged to be pivotally guided on connecting arms (8, 9) of the supporting cross-pieces (5, 6) extending rearwards from the back of the refuse collection vehicle (1) in its lower region.</p> |
