PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject gene therapeutic agent effective against estrogen- relatedly developing or progressing osteosarcoma, bone metastasis cancer, etc. by including a DNA encoding an intranuclear receptor TR4 or a mutant thereof as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: The objective antiestrogen gene therapeutic agent is obtained by screening cDNA library derived from human hypothalamus, prostate or testis by using a TR4-specific primer or probe to provide a DNA encoding a cloned intranuclear receptor TR4 or a mutant thereof, and allowing the obtained DNA encoding the cloned intranuclear receptor TR4 or the mutant thereof to be included as an active ingredient. The gene therapeutic agent inhibits the transcription-promoting activities of the estrogen target gene, and is useful for effective treatment, prevention, etc., of osteosarcoma, bone metastasis cancer derived from mammary cancer, etc., which are diseases estrogen- relatedly developed or progressed. |
