PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical fiber which protrudes from an end part of the fiber holder from curving. SOLUTION: The fiber holder 2 equipped with a main body 6 and a lid body 6 which freely opens and closes with respect to the main body 6 and an alignment groove 11 is formed in the surface of the main body 6 which faces the lid body 8 along the axis of the optical fiber; and the lid body 8 when closed exposes both the end parts of the alignment groove 11 to the outside and clamps the optical fiber with the alignment groove 11 to align and support the optical fiber. The exposed alignment groove 11 of this fiber holder 2 is formed having its sectional shape widened gradually outward along the axis. |
