<p>An industrial robot of which the body comprises a prismatic arm (3) on a column (1) fixed to an installation base (1), first and second swing arms (4, 5), a tool mount (6a), and a connection member (13) between the arms. The connection member (13) ensures an adequate arm spacing (13a), and no recesses are provided in the outer surfaces of the robot so as to prevent accumulation of foreign matters and facilitate the cleaning of the robot. Piping and wiring members (7) for a work tool (6b) are passed through the interior of the robot body to improve the easiness of cleaning parts of the third and later arms to which pieces of food are liable to adhere.</p> |
