The support strip (1) has two flat sides and two edges. It has damper elements (2) in the middle of one flat side and at right-angles to it, giving the support a T-shaped cross-section. At least one edge of the support has side incisions which have triangular cavities (3). The cavities are arranged in pairs, and the two cavities in each pair face each other in the transverse direction of the support. The width of the support varies in a longitudinal direction.
