PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the protecting layer of a surface finish material thin, improve anti-marring properties and enhance transparency by forming a decorative layer on the surface of a base material and making this protecting layer of a transparent resin layer whose thickness and hardness are specified as a layer for protecting the decorative layer. SOLUTION: A decorative layer 2 is formed on the surface of a base material 1 and a protecting layer 3 is formed on the surface of the decorative layer 2 in order to protect the decorative layer 2. In addition, the protecting layer 3 is of a transparent hard acrylic film with a thickness t3 of 100-250μm and a hardness of H-3H in terms of pencil hardness. The base material 1 is a flexible plate which does not include asbestos and its thickness t1 is, for example, 4 mm. The decorative layer 2 is of vinyl chloride with high smoothness and suitability for printing, and has a thickness t2 of, for example, about 80μm. The base material 1 can be substituted with such a material of plaster board laminated with a molten galvanized steel plate in addition to a flexible plate which does not include asbestos. Further, the hard acrylic film which forms the protecting layer 3 can include an antibacterial agent.
