PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method of, when two power supplies different in voltage and type are used arbitrarily, determining which power supply is used each time the power supply is used, and use the determining method to correct the functional characteristics of devices due to the difference in supply voltage to obtain proper functions. SOLUTION: When a PTC heater is fed with a power using either of two power supplies which are different in voltage and type from each other, the current immediately after the feed is measured at two different times t1 , t2 . Based on the difference between the first current value I1 and second current value I2 obtained by the measurement, it is determined which of the power supplies feeds the power. Based on the determination, correction is made on devices differing in functional characteristics, such as heating function, from each other due to the difference in supply voltages so that the functional characteristics are equalized between the devices. |
