Damaged cell bridging method in fuel cell stack

The method involves bridging individual damaged cells in a fuel cell stack with single cells which are connected electrically in series through current conductors accessible from the outside, and are connected to common supply- and outlet conductors over respective supply- and outlet channels arranged in parallel with the current conductors. The current conductors of the affected single cell are electrically short-circuited, and the corresponding supply- and outlet channels are closed.
