The invention pertains to a casing (1) of an electronic apparatus, such as a communications control unit, wherein a casing wall, which is made of metal or other electrically conductive material and provides shielding against interference, has one or more through channels (5) for optical cables (3). In accordance with the invention, said channel is located between metallic parts (6, 7) which are detachably attached to each other and is curved in shape so that full reflection of light will occur in an optical cable (3) bent so as to correspond to the shape of the channel. A curved through channel (5) facilitates appropriate direction of the cable both inside and outside the casing, at the same time directing the cable so as to avoid sharp uncontrollable bends in the cable that cause leakage of light. As the parts (6, 7) confining the through channels (5) are detachable for the installation of cables (3), the cable ends inside the casing can be equipped with connector parts (4) the size of which is independent of the cross section of the channel. |
