PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite processor capable of surely sticking a recording medium close to an information detection means by simple constitution and individually constituting the loading part and ejection part of the recording medium and a controlling method for the processor. SOLUTION: The processor is provided with a magnetic ink character recognition(MICR) head 33 for detecting information recorded on check paper P by contact and a press roller 34 for pressing the paper P to the head 33. The roller 34 can release pressure to the head 33. Sub-slip lower rollers 23, 24, slip center rollers 21, 22 and sub-slip upper rollers 19, 20 are formed to reciprocate the paper P. The rolles 21, 22 are arranged in the vicinity of the insertion part side of a reading unit 32. After inserting the paper P, carrying the paper P in an arrow F direction and heading the paper P, the paper P is depressed to the head 33 by the roller 34 and carried in an arrow B direction to read out the information. After the end of reading, the paper P is carried in the arrow F direction to print out the read information. |
