The method involves filling an ice-cube tray with water, cooling the water to form individual cubes, heating the formed cubes, collecting the loosened cubes, draining them and sending them to a packing point. The cubes are packed in a single bag which is sealed. The full bags are sent to a storage point where they are dispensed, the bags being stored at a temperature below that at which the ice cubes were formed. The method is used in a machine which is particularly suitable for sales by coins or tokens.
