The device is placed on a bed mattress and includes two plates placed under and above a pressure piezoelectric sensor. A buffer is placed between the top plate and the sensor. The two plates are made of vegetable fibre. The sensor is connected to a control and alarm module (14). The module includes a signal receiver, an amplifier and a comparator. The alarm is activated if no signal is received during a pre-set time period.
