PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an adhesive property of a negative electrode current collecting body to an active material layer, without lowering the capacity and cycle characteristic. SOLUTION: In a negative electrode for use in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery made by applying a coating liquid, in which a carbon material capable of storing/discharging lithium, whose surface clearance (d 002) in the C-axis direction is 3.40 Å or less, is dispersed in a solvent and to which a binding agent is added as required, to an electrode current-collecting body, the coating liquid contains dicarboxylic acid represented by an expression, HOOC (CH2 ) nCOOH (n is 0<=n<=3, in the expression). |
