<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precooling chamber capable of suppressing the proliferation of bacteria and fungi in the chamber and deodorizing malodorous gases by placing a photocatalytic freshness-keeping apparatus on the upstream side of a circulation path of a heat-exchanger for cooling. SOLUTION: This precooling chamber 1 is provided with a cooling unit 2 having a cooling heat-exchanger 2a placed in the chamber for cooling the air in the chamber with an exterior cooler 2b to precool a plant 4 in the chamber by the circulating chilled air 5. A photocatalytic freshness-keeping apparatus 3 is placed at the upstream side of the circulation path of the cooling heat- exchanger 2a. The blowing port of the fan of the apparatus 3 is preferably directed against the heat-exchanger 2a. Preferably, the apparatus 3 is placed in a path for forcibly passing a gas 6 such as aging-promotion gas generated from the plant 4 with a fan in such a manner as to pass the gas 6 through a porous material carrying a photocatalyst and is provided with a light source for radiating light to the porous material carrying the photocatalyst.</p> |
