PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank which is used in an ink jet recorder for recording a character on a recording medium by supplying ink to a recording head, dose not require a complex structure, readily controls a negative pressure of the ink therein and has an economical advantage. SOLUTION: A micro-porous material is provided in a part of an ink chamber which is to be filled with ink and/or an ink supplying section that supplies the ink to a recording head section. The micro-porous material is so constituted that a high molecular organic material and a low molecular material are used to form a high molecular mesh structure body wherein the low molecular material is held among three-dimensional continuous mesh skeletons consisting of 40 or less weight % of high molecular material and the low molecular material is removed therefrom. |
