<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To out equipment and repair cost and enable miniaturization and the manufacturing of a large volume of oxygen. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing oxygen by a pressure swing process is to cause a nitrogen gas contained in an air to be adsorbed into an adsorbent under pressure conditions almost close to an atmospheric pressure in a nitrogen gas adsorption step and cause the nitrogen gas to be desorbed from the adsorbent under vacuum conditions to regenerate the adsorbent in an adsorbent regeneration step, and at the same time, exhaust the oxygen separated and concentrated by the adsorption step from adsorption column 2A, 2B 2C using an air blower 1, when causing the nitrogen gas contained in the air to be selectively adsorbed into the adsorbent packed in the adsorption column 2A, 2B, 2C to separate the oxygen gas from the air. In this case, the desorption of the nitrogen gas from the adsorbent in the adsorbent regeneration step is performed by an ejector 13 under the vacuum conditions.</p> |
