PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigerator oil additive which is excellent in heat stability, solubility in refrigerator oil, and stability in refrigerant by selecting, as the additive, a silicone compd. which essentially has organosiloxane units having monovalent polyfluorohydrocarbon groups and oxyhydrocarbon-group-contg. groups directly bonded to silicon atoms of the units. SOLUTION: This silicone compd. essentially has organosiloxane units (S<1> ) having monovalent polyfluorohydrocarbon groups directly bonded to silicon atoms of the units. Pref., S<1> is (B<1> )(R<2> )SiO2/2 (B<1> is a monovalent polyfluorohydrocarbon group; and R<2> is methyl, etc.). The compd. also has, as essential units, organosiloxane units (S<2> ) having oxyhydrocarbon-group-contg. groups directly bonded to silicon atoms similarly to above-mentioned. Pref., S<2> is (B<2> )(R<3> )SiO2/2 (wherein B<2> is an oxyhydrocarbon-group-contg. group; and R<3> is the same as R<2> ). A pref. silicone compd. is represented by the formula (wherein B<1> and B<2> are each the same as described above; R<4> is alkyl, etc.; and a, b, and c are each 1-50). |
