Scalp care compositions characterized by containing various plant extracts; compositions for promoting the tyrosinase activity; and compositions for preventing hair graying. The scalp care compositions can efficaciously prevent the formation of dandruff and have a high safety. They are highly efficacious particularly in preventing and treating the formation of dandruff caused by stimuli to the scalp by surfactants contained in shampoos, rinses, etc. Moreover, these compositions are highly efficacious in preventing itching in the scalp. Also, compositions excellent in the effects of promoting the tyrosinase activity and preventing hair graying are provided.
