PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the amusement of KARAOKE and to climax an atmosphere by synthesizing and outputting a singing signal generated by converting the timbre of a singing signal of a KARAOKE singer into the voice tone of the singer on the basis of temporal variation of the interval and voice volume extracted from the singing signal of the KARAOKE singer. SOLUTION: A central controller 11 is coupled with a digital signal processor(DSP) 30 as the main constitution part of the vocal mimicry function. When a user inputs a start command for the vocal mimicry function, the central controller 11 operates the DSP 30 to switch the output of a switch 40 to the side of the DSP 30 and thus inputs the singing signal of the KARAOKE singer to the DSP 30 and also inputs the singing signal of a singer reproduced by an optical video disk changer 12 to the DSP 30 as well. Then the DSP 30 processes the input signals properly and outputs the singing signal generated by converting the voice of the KARAOKE singer into the voice tone of the singer. Consequently, the user can sing with the voice of the singer while the singing the singing skill of the KARAOKE singer is exploited. |
