PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a castable refractory material having high corrosion resistance and high strength at a high temp. as compared with a conventional low cement castable and having high strength within a temp. region from a low temp. to an intermediate temp. equal to the conventional low cement castable. SOLUTION: When total solid contents in a castable refractory material is made to 100 wt.%, contained amounts of a magnesia powder having <=75 μm grain size, a hydraulic transition alumina and siliceous particles expressed respectively by A wt.%, B wt.% and C wt.% are 0.5<=A<=30, 0.5<=B<=15, 0.5<=C<=10, 1<=A+B<=35, 2<=A+B+C<=40 and alumina cement being a less than 1.5 wt.% amt. as a contained calcia component is contained. |
