A plurality of components 1, of flexible laminar structure and with a suitable surface, have, on one of their faces, a layer of magnetized rubber 2, and, on the opposite face, a layer 3 of a resistant material. The components 1 are applied to the bodywork of a vehicle 4, being held adhered to the panels by means of magnetism, in such a manner that the resistant layer 3 forms a protection for the bodywork against external aggressions, such as scratches, dents and other imperfections. The system is applicable to motor vehicles, especially vehicles of the all-terrain type, for forming an optional protection for the panels. <IMAGE>
