Compact access ladder for upper floor in building

The ladder serves as access to an upper floor and can be set at different angles, depending on the space available. Flat treads are supported by four shafts; two shafts (9,10) at the rear and two shafts (11,12) at the front of each tread. The shafts are threaded through holes in the treads and are secured by pins which allow the ladder angle to be changed without dismantling. The front shafts also serve as hand grips. The shaft diameter is between 2 and 8 cm and the spacing between the front and rear shafts, on each side of the ladder, is at least 4 cm, to provide sufficient room for hand grips. The treads and shafts are made of hardwood.
