HORN SWITCHING MECHANISM OF STEERING WHEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress touch feeling from being degraded at the time of operating an air bag device without degrading the operability of a horn. SOLUTION: An air bag device 2 is formed below the pad 1 of a steering wheel W. A membrane switch 11 is formed between a foldable air bag 5, and the pad 1. The membrane switch 11 is placed and fixed on a switching plate 13 formed so as to cover the air bag device 2. The switching plate 13 consists of a leg part 14 and a plate body 15, and a slit 17 is formed at a part which meets an expanded and opened part. A plurality of ribs 18 are integrally-formed at the lower surface of the plate body 15 of the switching plate 13. The ribs 18 are formed so as to extend in parallel to a hinge part 16 at parts except both end parts in the vicinity of the slit 17.
