FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, methods of metal heating in mold of continuous casting plant. SUBSTANCE: introduced into mold with the help of immersion nozzle is steel melt coated with foundry flux. To provide for uniform abstraction of heat through mold and constant friction forces between mold and shell of cast articles, heat energy is introduced to melt bath surface by point manner, and point of heat energy is moved over preset line of bath with melt.
