FINAL REDUCTION GEAR AND ASSEMBLY METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a final reduction gear to reduce a cost by die cast casting of a casing and excellent in noise vibration characteristics. SOLUTION: A casing 1 is divided into a body part 10 to contain a differential mechanism 2 and drive pinion 3 and a cover part 11 attached to the body part 10 by a division surface 28 extending vertically to the central axis of a ring gear 9 being the input member of the differential mechanism 2 and approximately paralleling the central axis of the drive pinion 3 and further extending from a part to contain the differential mechanism 2 to the side of an oil passage. A part, extending from at least an opening end on the ring gear 9 of the oil passage to an opening end on the bearing side, is formed at least in one of the body part 10 and a cover part 11 in a state to be opened to the division surface 28.
