PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piece of clothing with right front body hem seam capable of obviating puckering phenomena due to laundering and to provide a method for forming seams so as not to develop puckers. SOLUTION: This invention comprises: a clothing constituent 22 constituting the right front body hem of a shirt is reverted twice and folded, and a binding strip 30 with both the upper surface 32 and underside 34 bearing much heat seal element is inserted into the gap between the resultant surfaces of the folded clothing constituent 22; the clothing constituent 22 and the bonding strip 30 positioned by its insertion into the clothing constituent 22 are mutually sewn by stitches 40 so as to penetrate therethrough; the sewn portion is subjected to heat and pressure to effect melting of the heat seal element so as to allow it to flow throughout the surface of the binding strip 30, thus binding the clothing constituent 22 and the bonding strip 30 to each other. |
