PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject piece of clothing capable of obviating puckering phenomena due to laundering, and to provide a method for forming seams so as not top develop puckers. SOLUTION: This invention comprises: the edge 24 of the 1st clothing constituent 20 constituting the pocket of a shirt is revertedly folded, and put on the upper surface of the 2nd clothing constituent 12 constituting the front body so as to come into contact with the upper surface to define a seam 32; a binding strip 34 is but between the folded portion 48 of the 1st clothing constituent 20 and the 1st clothing constituent 20 and enclosed; the unfolded portion 46 of the 1st clouting constituent 20, the binding strip 34, the folded portion 48 of the 1st clothing constituent 20 and the 2nd clouting constituent 12 are mutually sewn by stitches 44 so s to penetrate threthrough; the whole bonding strip 34 is subjected to both heat and pressure to effect melting of a heat seal element so as to allow it to flow throughout the surface of the bonding strip 34, thus bonding the 1st clothing constituent 20 and the binding strip 34 to each other. |
